Please note that by ordering any of our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and the other documents expressly referred to in it. If you refuse to accept these Terms, you will not be able to order any Services from our site.
We amend these Terms from time to time. Every time you wish to order services from us, please check these Terms to ensure you understand the terms which will apply at the time of the order.
1 Information about us
This website www.handsonturkish.com is owned and operated by Pendragon Educational Publishers Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 7943554 and with our registered office at Cary Chambers, 1 Palk Street, Torquay TQ2 5EL, United Kingdom.
2 Our services
This website offers access to online language learning courses for Turkish for absolute beginners. The course are based on the Council of Europe’s syllabus requirements and fulfill the requirements of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. They are suitable for learners wishing to study a language at level A1 and A2. Registered users can select a combination of target language (language to be learned) and a language of instruction (the language in which the tasks and instructions are offered).
3 Conditions for subscription
In order to proceed with the subscription to the online courses, this website requests some personal data. The treatment of such data conforms with the Data Protection Laws and Privacy Policy Statement that can be found on this site.
The subscriber declares that his/her personal data are correct and true at the time of completing the registration forms.
We reserve the right to amend or modify these Terms and Conditions without prior notice. If they are amended or modified in such a way that they significantly impact on the subscriber, we will inform the subscriber by email or by adding an appropriate message to the home page. Editorial corrections and changes do not constitute a significant impact.
4 Period of subscription
Subscription is for a limited period only (e.g. 12 months) and is not automatically renewed. Annual renewals can only be initiated and authorised by the subscriber, who must re-register for a new subscription period.
We will not automatically renew any annual subscription.
The subscription fee allows the subscriber access to a combination of one particular target language and one particular language of instruction. The subscriber cannot change the selection of languages within a particular subscription period.
The subscriber cannot cancel their subscription once they have agreed to a period of subscription. Equally, a subscriber cannot upgrade from one period to another, but must complete the one period and re-register for another.
Access to the free content and free trial demos is unlimited.
5 Payment
All subscriptions are payable on demand on registration. We are entitled to charge such reasonable costs as it may incur in recovering any overdue balances.
Payment of the subscriptions can only be made by a valid Credit/Debit Card or via a valid PayPal account, and the subscriber must provide details of the same when he or she makes an order for the services.
We retain the right to amend the prices for subscriptions without notice. Any amendment or change in the subscription charge will only be valid for new subscribers or new subscriptions for renewed periods, and will not affect existing subscriptions. Where indicated, all prices are inclusive of the UK VAT rate of 20%.
All payments are taken through the secure sites of our payment processing partners (Avangate, Paypal). We do not take any direct payments ourselves and we do not hold any credit card details on our servers.
Subcriber’s right to use the materials and subcriber’s obligations
Subscription to the online language courses grants one individual user a non-exclusive, non-transferable, limited licence to access a particular course with a combination or selection of one target language and one language of instruction for the user’s personal, non-commercial use.
The subscriber agrees not to copy, transmit, broadcast, publish, re-create or market in any way or through any medium any of the content of the course for which he or she has subscribed without the express consent of Pendragon Educational Publishers Ltd. The subscriber will indemnify Pendragon Educational Publishers Ltd against all claims, losses, liabilities, expenses, fines and penalties of whatsoever nature made, incurred or imposed as a result of a breach by the subscriber of the terms of this clause.
The subscriber agrees not to re-sell or make any other commercial use of the services or content without the written consent of Pendragon Educational Publishers Ltd.
Subscription password and security
The subscriber is responsible for maintaining the secrecy of his or her password and user name.
The subscriber agrees not to pass the user name and the password for the subscription to other users to allow them to access the content. If we become aware that one subscription is being used with multiple users, or multiple users are sharing one account, we will close the account immediately, block any access to the content for that subscriber who has violated the agreement and pursue a claim for reimbursement of losses incurred by such a breach of use.
The subscriber accepts full responsibility for every activity of the subscriber within the website covered by these terms and is responsible for any claim and threat related to or deriving from the use or abuse of his/her participation in the online courses and/or the services. The subscriber promises to notify the website owner (Pendragon Educational Publishers Ltd) immediately via the email address provided with this website of any non-authorized use of his/her user name and/or password, or of any other violation of security which the subscriber becomes aware of. The subscriber can, at any time, change his/her password by following the instruction given by the system.
Termination by the Publisher
The Publisher (Pendragon Educational Publishers Ltd) can, at any moment and without any previous notice, stop the supply of services and cancel the subscription to the online courses in the following instances:
- when the subscriber uses the online course for illegal purposes or for the transmission or exchange of material that is illicit, vexatious, slanderous or defamatory, harmful to the privacy of others, abusive, threatening, vulgar, obscene or in any other way reproachable or that violates, or could violate, the rights of industrial or intellectual property or other rights of any Third Party,
- when the subscriber uses the services to transmit or exchange viruses, chain letters, or for unsolicited mass distribution of email,
- when the subscriber gives the user ID and password to unauthorised users,
- when the subscriber violates any of the specific conditions of service of this website, which is covered by these terms.
Provision of the Services / Quality of Services
We will provide you with access to the online language learning materials once you have subscribed. You will need to log in using your chosen user name and password to access the course materials online.
You can log into the website from any computer using your assigned user name and password but you should be aware that not all computers have the software that will enable you to access all of the Course Materials.
We provide free demos which will enable subscribers to test the content fully and to ensure that the content functions well on the subscriber’s chosen personal computer.
Whilst we try to ensure that the website does not contain any error, defect, malfunction or corruption, we do not accept responsibility for any damage to or loss of data on the subscriber’s personal computer system, network or server that results from using the online courses or from downloading any materials that are made available via this website.
We cannot promise that access to website will be uninterrupted or error free at all times.
There may also be occasions when access to the website is interrupted for emergency maintenance or repairs or to carry out upgrades to improve the performance or functionality of the website. Access may also be interrupted due to failures of telecommunications links and equipment, which are beyond our control.
You accept that you will not have a claim for breach of contract against us in the case of such a period of unavailability. You also acknowledge that we cannot be held responsible for any delay or disruptions that are inherent in the operation of the internet and the World Wide Web, including viruses.

Limitations of Warranty
The subscriber expressly agrees that the use of the services is at the subscriber’s exclusive risk. The services are offered ‘as they are’ and ‘as available’. Pendragon Educational Publishers Ltd does not offer any guarantee that the services correspond to the specifications required by the subscriber. Furthermore, Pendragon Educational Publishers Ltd does not offer any guarantee that the results which the subscriber expects or hopes to achieve through the use of the services will be achieved.

Pendragon Educational Publishers Ltd maintains this website to enhance public access to high quality, ICT-based language learning content. Our goal is to ensure that the content is relevant to learners’ needs, conforms to a European syllabus, is up-to-date and accurate. We appreciate it if any errors are brought to our attention and we will try to correct them as quickly as possible. However, we accept no responsibility or liability whatsoever with regard to the information and content on this site. There may sometimes be links to external sites over which we have no control and for which we assume no responsibility (see our Privacy Policy).
Liability
By subscribing to the services of this website, the subscriber commits to use the services exclusively for legal purposes. The subscriber is totally responsible for the content of any messages and texts sent by him/her or on his/her behalf to Third Parties via the services, as he/she recognizes that he/she is the only person responsible for them and frees Pendragon Educational Publishers Ltd from any subsequent claim or request. The subscriber agrees to reimburse Pendragon Educational Publishers Ltd for any cost deriving from claims or actions brought against it by a Third Party for damages caused by the subscriber or by people authorized by the subscriber to access the services.
Privacy and data protection
We take the privacy rights of the users of this website very seriously. Our policy is based on Regulation (EC) N° 45/2001 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 18 December 2000. This website also complies to all UK national laws and requirements for user privacy.
We ask users to register to use the online courses as we would like to know in which countries this website is used, what educational and professional background users have and in which general age group users might be. This information may be used in reports to the European Commission to assess how widely the material is used and how far targets have been met. For this reason we ask you to give an email address when you register, create a password and provide some general information that relates to the target groups.
This information will be kept strictly confidentially. Any information contained in reports will be of a statistical nature and individual users will not be identified. We will not divulge your personal data for direct marketing purposes. Furthermore, we have no intention of selling, renting out or giving this information to third parties.
You have the right to view the data we have on record for you and ask that it is updated if it is inaccurate. You also have the right to object to the processing of your personal data on legitimate compelling grounds except when it is collected in order to comply with a legal obligation, or is necessary for the performance of a contract to which you are a party, or is to be used for a purpose for which you have given your unambiguous consent.
